At 12 Stones Baptist Church, we are passionate about connecting people to Jesus and bringing hope to our community. Located in the heart of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, we are a church that desires to live out the Great Commandment (Mark 12:30-31) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). As a Bible-centered and gospel-driven church, our desire is to be a place where people from all walks of life can come together, experience God’s love, and grow in faith.  12 Stones Baptist stands in affirmation with the Baptist Faith and Message 2,000.

Our Mission.

"Connecting People to Jesus to Bring Hope to our World." We believe that Jesus is the hope of the world, and our goal is to help others experience the life-changing power of His love and to be on mission with Him.

Our Vision.

To be a community of believers who live out the Great Commandment and the Great Commission, leading people to Christ and fostering spiritual growth, while impacting the city of Elizabethtown and beyond.

 We are guided by our core values, which reflect our commitment to God, each other, and the world around us. These principles shape who we are and how we serve.

God's Word is our foundation, shaping everything we do and believe. We stand on biblical truth and strive to live according to its teachings.
We recognize that we are nothing without God. Through prayer, we seek His guidance and strength in all circumstances.
Our focus is on fulfilling God's purpose for our lives and our church. We prioritize His will above our personal preferences or traditions.
We are committed to spreading the gospel and making disciples, even when it requires sacrifice or stepping out of our comfort zone.
We value relationships and community, putting the needs of others above our own. Together, we are a family of believers, growing and serving one another.
God is a creative God and we are created in His image. Therefore, we will strive to use creativity to glorify God in a variety of ways. We will glorify God through creativity in worship services, outreach, and ministries to the community. Though not all traditions are bad (many are good and beautiful), we will not allow traditionalism from stopping us from trying new things for the glory of God.

Our Story
We draw our name and inspiration from the account in Joshua 4:19-24, where the Israelites crossed the Jordan River into the Promised Land. As instructed by God, Joshua set up twelve stones as a memorial, symbolizing the twelve tribes of Israel and commemorating God’s faithfulness in leading His people across on dry ground. These stones served as a lasting reminder of where they had come from and where God was leading them. In much the same way, the name 12 Stones represents our commitment to remember the past while stepping into a bold future.

Our History
Originally established in 1999, Elizabethtown Baptist Church served as a local church in the community. Families and individuals sacrificed and worked to ensure the future of the church.
By 2024, however, as the city of Elizabethtown continued to grow and change, Elizabethtown Baptist Church came to the conclusion of its ministry. Recognizing the need to reach a new generation and meet the evolving needs of the community, a decision was made to start fresh. Out of that decision, 12 Stones Baptist Church was born. With a new mission and a renewed vision, 12 Stones stands ready to serve, proclaiming the Gospel and offering hope to all who seek Jesus.

Looking Forward
As 12 Stones Baptist Church, we stand alongside the other gospel-centered churches in Elizabethtown with a shared mission: to fulfill the Great Commission and reach the unchurched, the de-churched, and those who feel distant from God. 12 Stones is part of the Lincoln Association of Baptist, the Kentucky Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention. Just as the twelve stones served as a marker for the Israelites, we seek to be a visible reminder of God’s grace, guiding our community toward hope, faith, and transformation. We are excited for the future and invite you to join us as we grow, serve, and fulfill God's call together.
